Christi Swoboda
Director of International Meetings and Events
Christi Swoboda serves as Director of International Meetings and Events for World Council of Credit Unions and has been with the organization since 2014. She has the expertise, partnerships and vision to lead her team to produce events that are unforgettable and exceed expectations.
She is responsible for all management, execution, event logistics and budgets, as well as all facets of tactics for the World Credit Union Conference (WCUC), widely considered the premier international credit union event. Taking place in a new country every July, WCUC attracts thousands of credit union professionals to cultivate new connections, learn industry trends and promote long lasting partnerships. The four-day program includes general sessions, over 40 breakout sessions, lunch and learn opportunities, an exhibit hall of solution providers, credit union visits, forums, networking events and more.
In addition to WCUC, Christi also oversees all strategic development and innovation of World Council's virtual event platform. Implemented in 2020 to provide needed access to education and networking to all members and non-members globally, the virtual event platform continues to grow.
Christi holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and completed a semester abroad in Australia. She currently lives in Wisconsin with her husband and three kids.
