Ewa Sierzynska

Chief of Party, USAID/WOCCU GROW Project in Ukraine

Ewa Sierzynska has been responsible for implementing WOCCU's USAID-funded technical projects in Ukraine for nearly a decade. She currently serves as Chief of Party for the USAID/WOCCU GROW Project in Ukraine (2024-28), leading an initiative to increase credit union investment in Ukrainian micro, small- and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Ewa previously served as Chief of Party for the USAID/WOCCU Credit for Agricultural Producers (CAP) Project in Ukraine (2016-24).

For more than 18 years, she has been a leader in providing technical assistance and monitoring in micro and agribusiness finance, MSME lending and loan guarantee programs for financial institutions. She's also led economic development and financial inclusion efforts for marginalized women in conflict-affected areas.

Along with her work in Ukraine, Ewa has worked on projects in Tajikistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Romania, Ukraine, Kosovo, Egypt, Jordan, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

She owns an M.A. with Distinction in Finance and Banking, from the University of Economics, Institute of Economy in Krakow, Poland.
