MADISON, Wis.— Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU) and their major networks, Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN), World Young Credit Union Professionals (WYCUP) and Global DE, will host five key events featuring global perspectives and insights during the 2024 World Credit Union Conference (WCUC) in Boston (USA).
WFCU will host the Gala at Thompson Island on Monday, July 22, at Boston's very own Thompson Island. The fundraising event will bring the global credit union movement together on one island for one night for one big party. The Gala at Thompson Island will give the global movement a look into how WFCU is bridging credit union gaps worldwide with a night of fun.
This event will feature special guest Bill Cheney, CEO of SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, and Crystal Long, CEO of GECU, who are the presenting sponsors of the event, as well as classic American yard games, a Boston lobster bake and entertainment for the entire evening.
Event registration closes on July 8, with proceeds supporting the shared World Council of Credit Unions and WFCU vision of expanding financial inclusion and credit unions worldwide.
