Massachusetts league representative teaches importance of movement cohesion
Rob Kimmett SVP, Marketing, Massachusetts Credit Union League visited the Bahamas in early November to meet with the Bahamas Cooperative League and its member institutions. The Massachusetts league has a long standing partnership with the Bahamas League which started in 2005 shortly after the World Council of Credit Unions held their annual meeting in Nassau, Bahamas.
On the first day, Kimmett joined Bahamas League General Manager, Stephanie Missick-Jones, for visits to three credit unions located in Nassau: Bahamas Island Resort and Casino Cooperative Credit Union, Teachers and Salaried Workers Cooperative Credit Union and Public Workers Cooperative Credit Union. At each of the credit unions, Rob had the opportunity to meet with the leadership of the credit union and engage in a thoughtful exchange.
The following day, the Bahamas Cooperative League hosted a training session at the Wyndham Hotel in Nassau which was attended by 27 credit union volunteers and professionals from seven credit unions, the league and the Department of Cooperative Development. At the session, Rob facilitated a workshop on Building Marketing Strategies which incorporated theory, emerging trends and best practices. The program incorporated presentations, a question and answer session and discussion.
